b. To observe SAF troops training in SWBTA in Queensland, Australia for the purpose of exposing NCC cadets to live-firing, troop and vehicle movement in an SAF Overseas Training Base so as to increase military awareness in NCC Cadets.
c. To reward deserving NCC Officers, Cadet Officers and Cadets for their outstanding contributions to the organization.

The NCC Delegation will make a courtesy call to Base Commander. After a briefing, the NCC Delegation leader will present a memento to the Base Commander.

To experience SAF Overseas training, the NCC Delegation will observe a SAF unit conducting live-firing and unit training.
c. Cadet Exchange with Australia.
Our NCC Officers and Cadets will meet up with their Australian counterparts under the Cadet Exchange Programme, interact and exchange training ideas as well as explore new opportunities for future visits.
d. Adventure Training.
Participants will undergo a 1 day adventure programme in Queensland – Capricorn Caves where they may experience adventure caving activities.
Cost: $150 (the rest would be subsidized by NCC)
There are 10 places for NCC cadets and 2 teacher-officers for this trip.
2. Mt Ophir Expedition
Date: Monday 2/11/09- Wednesday 4/11/09
Venue: Mt Ophir, Malaysia
Note that this would be held during the Sec 3 Structured Lessons during November so you'll be missing 3 days of lessons if you sign up for this.
There are 36 places for Part C cadets from East District.
3. Outward Bound Sabah
Date: Sat 12/12/09- Wed 23/12/09
Venue: Sabah, Malaysia
Only 8 places are allocated to East District. This is strictly for Singapore Citizens, not for PRs or non-citizens. Cadets have to undergo their own medical check-up. The cost is not fixed yet but last year's rate was $100.
4. Whitewater Rafting Expedition to Perak
There would no Whitewater Rafting Expedition to Perak this November.
If any of you is interested in Exercise Wallaby, Mt Ophir or OB Sabah, let me know and I'll give you more details and the application form. I'd strongly encourage you to sign up for any of these trips to make the most out of your NCC experience. Mt Ophir is also on a first-come-first-served basis so get back to me as soon as possible so I can inform HQ NCC.
Have a good term 4 ahead, cadets.
Yours sincerely,
Ma'am Koh
